Description
Nestled on the green in the picturesque village of Litton, The Red Lion is one of a very few unspoilt traditional Peak District pubs. This historic inn combines character & quality in a way that is rare in pubs today.
The Red Lion first became a pub in 1787 when it was converted from three farm cottages. Thick exposed stone walls & wood panelling in a number of small, cosy rooms with blazing coal and log fires, create a comfortable & inviting atmosphere
They do not do provide accommodation but there are a number of B&Bs within easy staggering distance, if needed Its a great walkers pub, allows well behaved dogs and is always warm and welcoming
