Description Tideswell Wakes Week is an age-old tradition of the village where locals spend a week decorating their houses and shops, creating Well Dressings and then finally participating in the Carnival on 'Big Saturday'. There are various stalls to visit in Cherry Tree Square outside the church and for the kids, the fair comes to the village every year! The Wakes festivities usually start around the 21st June and carry on until Carnival day.
